In an information-dense experience, our team built a new design language to reinforce hierarchy and states and make interactions more intuitive. We added a familiar file-browser navigation that saved clicks when traversing datasets and a right panel for contextual information.
Powerful grouping and filtering
Triaging issues is time-consuming. We expanded our group, filter, and sort functionality to give data engineers the right view of their system and new issues states for managing the lifecycle of an anomoly.
Impact and root-cause analysis workflows powered by lineage
Data engineers must know what data and reports an outage impacts to prioritize the right problem and communicate with the right teammates.
We combined text summaries and a lineage graph so users could see potential root cause (s) and impacted data along with bulk actions to save precious time during outages.
Detailed history of change
The behavior of data is more important than the current state when investigating an anamoly. Our team redesigned metric graphs and Issue timelines to connect state changes with user and Bigeye actions.
Updated brand identity system and redesigned marketing site
We repositioned Bigeye from a monitoring tool for startups to an intelligent observability product for enterprises.
